Is there a doctor in the house?

Well yes - more than one at this wedding!
Saturday saw a brilliant weding at Bisbrooke Church in Rutland.

Fun and games in the garden....

More than one way to photograph bridesmaids.....

Sometimes it's all in the timing of the shutter..........

Wedding art at Lincoln Cathedral

Friday saw a beautiful wedding in Lincoln with a shoot in the grounds of Lincoln Cathedral.

We had already decided to keep things informal and relaxed - I hope this comes out in the images:

Of course a stunning bride and bridesmaids does help!

We have been shooting this way since 1989 - don't let others tell you they "brought it to this country"

A real white wedding

December 27th saw a wedding at Oakham Castle followed by Normanton Park Hotel on the shores of Rutland Water.

Gemma and Richard were blessed with both fine weather and also snow left on the ground from a few days earlier.

As we set off for the photoshoot some visitors passed by complete with sledge - and we all thought the same thing!  The shot below has been accepted by a publication and we hope to see it in print soon headed "get me to the church on time"

Thank goodness for all those years spent working for newspapers armed with one camera, one lens and one flashgun expected to get great results regardless of the weather or the lighting.  Now that's experience and knowledge you can't just buy.

An Oundle Wedding

Yesterday saw another wedding to photograph at Oundle - I have been blessed over the years with many of these due to a very loose association with Oundle School staff.
This time it was the turn of St Peters Church to host the wedding of Chris and Charlotte.
Wedding photography is always a joy, but never more so than when in the company of great guests, and a naturally beautiful bride.

wet wet wet !

Torrential rain didn't dampen the spirits at yesterday's wedding at Stamford and Normanton Park Hotel on the south shore of Rutland Water.
I was delighted to photograph the wedding of Nichola and David who braved the elements to walk down to the church at Normanton and were rewarded with a break in the clouds and a great sunset.
My best wishes to the guest who was interested in taking up wedding photography professionally - this one showed how important it is to be totally confident regardless of whatever is thrown at you on the day!

We couldn't all walk down in the rain so we used the setting inside the Hall as well

A practice walk while we got up the courage to go right to the church!

well worth the walk - well done David and Nichola
